Day in The Knickerbocker
I did a lot of research for a 5 day family visit to NYC. I really read these reviews to help me choose our hotels, so I’ll do my best here: The Knick is great. We had a deluxe queen, two beds. The room size is large with plenty of space for my family of 4. There is plenty of closet space to unpack the gear. It’s near silent. No street noise whatsoever. Silent AC/heater climate control. The fridge is extremely helpful. Bigger than normal. The bathroom is huge. You could fit 5 people in the shower alone. The elevators are fast, never really a wait. The safe is conveniently located and easy to use. Rooftop bar is awesome, and they allowed our young children. Very attentive service from the staff. Marcello was always very helpful and welcoming. All the staff was engaging and helpful. I’m not a huge mid-town fan, but that location makes it easy to go everywhere. You save time and $ because of the location. 2 block walk to go see Harry Potter. Joe’s pizza right around the corner. Times Square is always popping. It’s not drab, it feels new. The Knick is a very nice hotel, it would be my preference to return. location, fast elevators, big rooms, refrigerator, great bathroom, huge towels, and heaters right outside the front doors of the hotel.

For a NY hotel room, this one was spacious, with room for two people and our stuff, not at all cramped. The bed was very comfortable. The location right on Times Square is great for theater, dining and sightseeing. Despite the location, the room was quiet and dark. We had Sunday brunch in the hotel dining room, and it was delicious. Order off the menu, you get fresh, warm food well-prepared. The buffet seemed to have the usual scrambled eggs, fruit, cereal, etc, but at $45/pp, hardly worth it unless you eat a HUGE meal. The menu prices were high but reasonable by contrast.

Laura

Everything! The location is great, just off Times Square and Broadway. The hotel itself is fabulous, tranquil and stylish. The staff couldn’t be nicer, from the front door to housekeeping, so friendly and welcoming. Rooms are spacious and well laid out, beds very comfortable. We had breakfast and dinner during our stay and both were excellent, in both choices and quality. We were also lucky enough to visit the rooftop bar which is really lovely, great atmosphere and cocktails!

Patricia

Fun location as it's right in the heart of Times Square. The staff was attentive and helpful with check in and check out. The onsite coffee shop was excellent and the folks working there were super lovely even in the early mornings. They made our Service Animal also feel very welcomed.

The room service and the cleaning service were 10/10 - The room was impecable everyday and the cleaning lady was always nice and patience. My room seemed like a new room everyday. The shower in the corner suite was awesome and the pressure of the water was perfect.
